| Educational: Propagating Gandhian Thoughts on the occasion of 150 Years of Ba – Bapu. The 1st phase of Yatra was launched on 19th April 2017 from Kanyakumari. Activities like talk on life and work of Ba and Bapu, inspirational songs, films shows, group meetings, college meetings, visits to martyrs places were organised during the Yatra. The Gandhian literatures / leaflets were distributed and sold during the Yatra programme. The Yatra covered entire length of Kerala, coastal length of Karnataka and concluded at Peaceful Society on 30th April 2017. A meeting was organised at Peaceful Society where Yatra members did share their experiences before the audience. 2nd Leg of Yatra started from Sawantwadi of Maharashtra on 2nd October 2017 and passed through entire Konkan, Satara, Ahmednagar and Nashik region of Maharashtra whereas Dang, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand and Ahmedabad region of Gujarat. The Yatra ended on 11th October 2017 at Sabarmati Ashram, Ahmedabad. | Swaraj National Consultation: A two days national consultation heldon 08-09 May 2017. 36 participants from Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Odisha and Kerala took part in the consultation. The consultation did re-visit the genesis of Swaraj, its growth, activities under the project, its achievement and its decline. The consultation did re-analyses the circumstances which led Peaceful Society to initiate for the closure of the project. The negative impact of closure of the project part was shared by the participants and they appealed Peaceful Society to re-start the project. The deliberation and discussion reached to the following conclusions, To organise state or regional level consultation for the revival and re-enforcement of Swaraj. To examine the status of PO and PDO in the states. | Environment: Floods in Bihar: The associates of Swaraj Bihar and Koshi, Ganga and Gandak Consortium met on 18th Auguest 2017 at Patna. The meetings discussed about the flood situations, kind of relief work by the local governmental agencies. The participants shared their association with the local governmental agencies in providing relief to flood effected population, shifting them into safe places and made suggestion about ways for flood control. The participants were unanimous that flood has become regular, disastrous and expanded into large area also due to blockage of natural drain system. The situation of floods will become worse years to come until and unless the natural drain system is improved. The meeting decided to submit their recommendations to the local government.
